Hello Matt,

Just to go in the same direction than my previous ones, this is definitely a nice and easy display gallery. Enhancing and adapting it to the same TTG Pages standards (even by billing it) seems worthwhile to me !

Keep the good work,

regards,

I'm having a hard time installing this on LR3 in Windows 7. For some reason when I downloaded it, I get a zip folder that extracts to hold a folder named ttg_panic.lrwebengine, instead of a file named ttg_panic.lrwebengine. What'd I do wrong?

You'll need to use SWFObject.js to embed the gallery. If you're using TTG Stage, that will produce the necessary code, or you can explore the source code in my <a href="http://demo.theturninggate.net/galleries/ttg_stage/stage_01_simpleviewer2/" rel="nofollow">sample gallery</a>.

OK, scratch Panic Gallery. What if I want to put my TTG Simpleviewer 2.01 into a web page. What code do I copy into the section and what links do I need to update?

Thanks,

Hi Margo,

Honestly, it's been ages since I so much as looked at the Panic Gallery, and so my memory is shaky on the details. I think it's one of the least friendly in terms of ripping it apart and embedding it into existing designs, but you're welcome to try. I try to keep my galleries as orderly as possible, so it shouldn't be too difficult to rip things out of it at the code level; the header and footer should go easily enough, if nothing else. The info pane can be removed manually according to <a href="http://lr.theturninggate.net/2008/04/remove-the-info-pane-from-ttg-panic-gallery/" rel="nofollow">this tutorial</a>, which also explains why it's there to begin with.

I love your TTG Simpleviewer and use it for all my galleries, but it would be nice to have the thumbnails as the shape of the images, which is why I am intrigued by your Panic Gallery.

Two questions. Is there a way to incorporate it into a regular web page that already has menu on the left, stuff at the top and bottom, etc., etc. I would like to put the gallery in the part of the page, but when I tried it, I clearly did something wrong, as it looked like a disaster.

What part of the gallery code do I paste into the section? and what do I need to update as far as links go? This may also lead to the question, should I put the gallery into a "Gallery" folder, or some such, as I do with the paid TTG web engine I have?

One final question: there is a blank thumbnail square that botches my idea of a neat 4x4 thumbnails section. Why do I need this, and can I remove it? If so, where? I am very familiar with HTML, so am not afraid of it. Just need to know where to start.

Thank you for your great resources!

That's the caption background for an empty caption. Turn captions off.

Oh, I forgot to mention that there is also this odd little transparent dark square that follows my mouse cursor around when I roll over the image with the cursor. It is about 45 degrees to the bottom left of my cursor, and about an inch or so away from it. Sorry to keep adding to the list, haha. Thanks Matt.

Sincerely,
Brenden
