About Your Purchase

Upon purchasing a TTG gallery, you will receive a download URL valid for five uses. After five uses, your URL will expire and a new purchase will be necessary to keep up with updates. Gallery updates will always be available from that same URL. Thus, the URL can be used for the initial download, plus four updates. Be sure to save your URL in a safe place, as it cannot be retrieved if lost.

TTG FlashNifties includes FlashNifties.com’s XML Flash Gallery Component 2.0 free version. The regular version costs $20, and does not include the link back to the FlashNifties website.

Changelog

v1.2 (2008-06-30)
Updated SWF component to latest version (new parameters not yet implemented).
General updates and refinements.
HTML-version gallery discontinued.
v1.13 (2007-07-30)
A caption bug introduced in 1.1.2 finally seems to have been squished for good, and the gallery has been tested in both Mac and Windows versions of Lightroom with positive results. Thanks where thanks are due: to Andy Rahn for setting me in the right direction, and to Joe Capra and John Moore for support and testing. Without them, I’d probably still be wracking my brains trying to sort this out.
v1.1.2 (2007-07-28)
Fixed a bug that caused all images to have the same caption and link.
v1.1.1 (2007-07-27)
Minor bug fix.
v1.1 (2007-07-25)
Added a Flash version of the template, which should preview properly in LR for Windows.
v1.0.2 (2007-07-20)
Bug fixes.
v1.0.1 (2007-07-19)
Fixed a display bug in Firefox for Mac OS X.
v1.0 (2007-07-03)
Initial release.

Do you sell the version without the flashnifties link?

Hi Kyla,

You’ll need to purchase the XML Flash Gallery Component 2.0 from FlashNifties.com for $20. It does away with the FlashNifties link. You can replace the the SWF file in the gallery with the purchased copy by opening the .lrwebengine package purchased here. Just make sure the file name of of the new one matches the old so that the gallery identifies it. Also, be sure to backup your purchases.

Hi Matt,

I am using TTG FlashNifties Gallery 1.2 with LR 2.4. Two problems:
(1) When exporting or uploading a gallery it does not create an autoindex.xml file. So I have to do it manually resp. via your XML Maker.
(2) When I choose another engine (e.g. the Lightroom Flash Gallery) and return afterwards to the FlashNifties Gallery, all values are reset to default and I have to enter again my preferred values.

Thanks for any suggestion to overcome these problems!

Regards
Hennes

Hi Hennes,

1. Most of the Flash galleries do not produce an XML file, which is exactly why I created XML Maker. Alternatively, you might like to embed the Flash gallery into TTG Stage, which does create autoindex.xml.

2. Once you’ve setup a look you like for your gallery and want to reuse, access the Template Browser in the left panel of the Web module and click the ‘+’ button to create a new template. This will save your settings as a preset that you can later apply to any collection of images you like.

hi,
great plugin, been using it for more than a year now….
just two remarks: sometimes when loading the galleries some pics are missing, I assume because of timeouts…. is it possible to provide a preloader?
second: how to make the gallery’s background color transparent? I tried each parameter I could find in the XMLs, but had no luck…
help is appreciated!
thanks in advance!

Hi Wolfgang,

The FlashNifties Flash component is by the folks at http://www.flashnifties.com. Any loading or pre-loader issues would belong to them and are quite separate from the work that I have done here. Furthermore, I don’t think the component supports any kind of transparency.

Hi Matt,

Very good job, as usual.

One question :
With TTG Flashnifties, can I only integrate the XML Flash Gallery, or can I also integrate other products, as the Flash Media Gallery ?

I mean I understand that other Flahsnifites.com products will not be displayed with settings inside Lightroom Web, but in other words, if I purchase Flash Media Gallery on Flahsnifites.com, can I just integrate it as a Flash Gallery into my TTG pages ? By naming specifically the Flash file I integrate in my TTG pages file for example ?

Thanks in advance,

Pierre

I don’t know anything about FlashNifties’ other products. Sorry.

question about the 5 uses. If I am reading it correctly I pay the $5 for the five uses and then every time I use it I need to repay for an additional 5 uses?

You are misinterpreting. You may use to download URL up to five times to download the product or product updates. Once you have installed the engine onto your system, you have unlimited use for generating galleries.
